Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is an Indian politician who serves as the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee in Uttar Pradesh, as of 2021. She belongs to the illustrious and politically powerful Nehru family. Vadra also serves as a Trustee of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. She was born on January 12, 1972, in Delhi to Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. She is the sister of Rahul Gandhi. During the initial days of her career, Vadra visited her mother’s constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli where she directly handled the general public. She played a crucial role during the campaigning for the Indian National Congress which was led by her mother and brother during the 2004 and 2007 Indian General Elections. In 2019, Vadra officially started her political journey by becoming the General Secretary of Congress in charge of Uttar Pradesh. She is married to Robert Vadra and the couple has a daughter and a son.
